Just 16 km from Chikmagalur, Mayuravana brings you into a landscape of coffee plants, shade trees, and birdsong. Spend your morning watching the sunrise, explore the plantation, or settle into an unhurried day with a cup of coffee.

Mayuravana has five rooms across the main building and a separate cottage within the plantation. Each has its own setting and layout, so you can choose the space that suits your stay.

Our couple rooms sit in the main building with east-facing glass walls that welcome the morning light. Each room sleeps two guests and is suited to travellers looking for a quiet, intimate stay on the estate.

Walk through the coffee estate

Explore the plantation with your hosts and hear about growing coffee under shade, caring for the crop, and what happens after harvest. Ask questions, notice the details, and see how coffee fits into the surrounding landscape.

Please let us know if you would like an estate walkthrough so we can coordinate a suitable time.

Mornings worth slowing down for

Watch the sunrise, listen for birds, or spend a little time with your camera. The estate offers plenty to appreciate without a packed itinerary.

Food from our Malnad home

Enjoy freshly prepared, home-style food inspired by the region. Vegetarian breakfast is included with your stay, with a rotating menu that may feature local favourites such as akki rotti, dosa, or idli.

Vegetarian and non-vegetarian dinners are available on advance request at ₹400 per person.

Time together

Share a game of carrom, choose a board game, or head outside for badminton. There is also room to pause, talk, and enjoy being away from the usual routine.

A few details before you arrive

Location & arrival

Location
Mayuravana is approximately 16 km from Chikmagalur city centre, around a 20-minute drive. We’ll share directions to help you reach the property.
Getting here
You can reach the homestay by car, taxi, auto, or two-wheeler. Parking is available. If you’re arriving by bus, we can share local transport contacts after booking.
Check-in
Check-in begins after 12 noon. Early arrival depends on availability and must be arranged in advance.

Meals

Breakfast
Complimentary vegetarian breakfast is served from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. Our menu changes daily and is prepared as a shared menu for guests.
Dinner
Home-style vegetarian or non-vegetarian dinner is available at ₹400 per person with advance notice. Please share dietary requirements when enquiring.
Lunch
Lunch is not available at the homestay. Please plan accordingly if you expect to spend the afternoon here.

Connectivity and comfort

Wi-Fi is available. Airtel generally has good mobile coverage, while Vodafone Idea coverage can be limited.

The rooms do not have air conditioning.

Staying with us

Mayuravana is a family-oriented homestay. We ask guests to keep noise low, follow meal timings, and respect the estate and other guests. Bachelor groups are not accommodated.

Please share the composition of your group before booking so we can confirm suitability.

Before you set out

Let us know your expected arrival time and whether you would like dinner on your first evening. If your plans include Mullayanagiri or Bababudangiri, ask us about the vehicle-pass requirements before your visit.
